The Roadrunners won their final contest of a three game series against the Odessa Jackalopes last Saturday in thrilling fashion.  Jake Kamrass netted a powerplay goal in the first period to give the ‘Runners a goal advantage at the first intermission.  Both teams added a goal in the second period, with Topeka’s being scored by Jasen Fernsler, who had just one goal coming into the game.  Odessa tied up the game at 2-2 one minute into the third period.  Topeka’s penalty kill held the Jackalopes from scoring on the man advantage twice and the breakthrough came with 16 seconds remaining in the game.  Tyler Poulsen came up with a game winning powerplay goal to bring the final tally to 3-2, improving the Roadrunners record to (9-5-2).  Topeka is in second place in the division, just one point back of Wichita Falls.
